The relationship you have with yourself determines the relationship you have with everything else.

It influences what you eat, how much you exercise, the relationships you welcome into your life, how you handle money, the career you choose, the boundaries you set {or don’t}, your creativity, the way you parent, your thoughts & emotions.

Is your relationship with yourself based on love or fear?

Fear will push you to strive for success, recognition, and approval in an effort to avoid rejection or disappointment.

You connect to fear when you,

Hide
Attack
Shrink
Dim your light
Criticize yourself
Deny your desires
React with shame or blame
Respond with cynicism or sarcasm

Love will guide you to take the sacred risk.

Love calls on courage and authenticity to help you show up in your life in a truthful and meaningful way.

You connect to love when you,

Speak your truth
Listen to your soul
Nurture your body
Attend to your mind
Take time for yourself
Do what deeply matters
Establish loving boundaries

If you feel like love is a long way off, you can start to locate it by asking, how would I act if my relationship with myself was based on love?

Make a commitment to follow through with the answers that emerge.

The more you love yourself the more love you add love to the world.
