This life is full of so much mystery.

We don’t know when a loved one will pass, when an injury will sideline us, or when a single conversation will break our hearts. There’s so much we can’t anticipate or plan for.

But just because we can’t control or predict the future, that doesn’t mean we have to hang back and wait to see what comes our way.

If there’s one thing that I most admire about my clients, it’s that every single one of them is guided by these kinds of questions:

“What IS possible in my life?
Where do I want to go next?
How do I need to heal and grow to get there?”

They live with a spirit of optimism and a growth mindset. They celebrate their agency, resilience and commitment to joy. {I’m so blessed that I get to hang with remarkable folks like this.}

So if you need a dose of that golden goodness flowing in my clients’ veins, here’s a reminder for you today:

No matter what’s happening around you, your life is still full of possibilities. FULL.

Despite the news cycle, there’s still so much goodness and beauty in this world.

Despite childhood trauma or career setbacks, there’s so much you can still be and do.

I know that uncertainty, and the shocking and painful realities of being human can feel overwhelming at times. That’s natural. {Take a deep breath with me.}

But I promise: you have not been assigned a destiny that you have no say in.

You don’t have to wait for your industry, your partner, your kids, your boss, your friends, or your local politicians to tell you what’s possible for your life.

You can still make a big change, or reignite an area of your life with fresh passion and ingenuity.

You can create {and share} more joy, more love, more beauty.

It’s not too late. You are not ‘over’.

This is why I think it’s so important to schedule time {at least a couple times a year} for Life Visioning; to ask ourselves big questions like:

Where do I want to go next?
What is my heart asking me to prioritize now?
What matters most, and HOW can I bring that to life?
What might be an obstacle I’ll encounter, and how I can plan for that ahead of time?

I take myself through a variety of Life Visioning exercises at least twice a year; once around my birthday {thanks again for all the beautiful wishes last month!} and again at the end of each year.

It’s a time to exhale fully, and to get present enough to hear my heart, to admit what’s ready to be released, and what I want to receive and experience next.

It’s a time to remind myself that life’s surprises will inevitably come, but alongside those unexpected arrivals, we also have the magical gift of CREATION. We can design and build a future that we’re thrilled to walk into.

You’re not too old.
You have not screwed things up beyond repair.
You don’t have to just barely survive each day’s to-do list – you’re allowed to THRIVE.

You’re not limited to past patterns, or the way it’s always been in your family or community.

It’s not too late, and you are anything but helpless.
In truth, you are powerful beyond measure.
