The dance of the soul is one of individuality {self} and unity {community}.

For me, this summer was about individuality.

My heart was restless, and my independent, introverted spirit took the lead.

I wrote, read, travelled, listened to great music, communed with the ancient redwoods, played with my boys in the sun, and shopped at Farmer’s Markets.

The theme of the summer was soulful reflection.

I became aware.
What I thought I wanted, I don’t.
What I thought was over, isn’t.

Each soul has a different inner world. Taking the time to reflect on your inner world allows you to discern the outer world you truly belong to.

As you awaken to the truth of your soul and you set out to live a life you love, it is necessary to find where you belong – to nurture a sense of unity.

This month, I am starting each day with consciously developing unity – walking and sipping tea with my soul sisters and having enlightening conversations with the people my heart wants to be with.

There is a little voice inside each of us that wants to be heard. It cries when it feels excluded, and it aches to belong.

Desiring a deep connection is a natural human longing. Follow the pull.

The nature of the soul is to see truth of our individuality and to discover the sense of belonging that comes from unity.

When you are dancing between individuality and unity, ask yourself :

Who am I, really?
What world do I belong to?

Let the answers you discover illuminate your next move.
